Soooo........searching for girl talk here..

I don't know, common topics of girl conversation can't really get brought up here. Girls talk a lot about how frustrated they are with the male gender in general, and about personal stuff that we couldn't say online, and about people they know, which, obviously, cannot be said online.

And then there's the conversations about dressing room horror stories and embarrassing moments, and stuff.....


...but then some of that can't be said online either!

I'm stuck for a conversation topic. Any ideas, girls?

How about women in the work place, and there struggle to adapt to changes in that work place.

Okay, just to fill in Jessica and Jake: we had this conversation--well, the girls did--on the way home about dirt, blood, and rain. Like, in the movies, guys (almost) always look cooler after they've been beat up, rained on, in a battle, etc. Just to mess up the hair and all that.

I would just like to say that I hope we didn't weird the guys out with this. You have to understand that we mean this in a very nonchalant way--every time we watch a movie with some dirty dude in it you don't have to imagine us drooling. Well, not me, anyway.

So what do the gals have to say about this? True or not true?

I would like to say that, regarding Caitlin's comment, dirt and rain and so on does improve chubbier guys as well--it's just that chubby guys are usually not that appealing in the first place. I can safely say that because no one on this forum, that I know of, is chubby.


There's probably some "Guest" running off crying right now.

True. It's more like a shared opinion, than an obsession. ALL guys look better when tousled, or wet, or bleeding in a cool way. But i'm usually refering to an actor when I bring it up. It's not like a guy bleeds and I do a whip-lash.

Exactly, and not even an actor, but a character--it's usually the fictional situation in itself that makes it cool: battles and rescue and torture and so on.

It comes back to the strong-brave-and-valiant masculine qualities, probably.

Usually the appeal, in my mind anyway, and from what I've learned from conversation with other girls, is the sort of overdressed proper guy--Darcy, Thornton, Norrington...okay, that's just me--who gets sort of less formal.

And there's just something cool about seeing (or reading) your favorite character captured. Agree?
