Boredom. Sheer boredom. I have like five hours of computer lab time to kill, so I'm just googling stuff.

| I'm glad you guys like it. I might change the color a little on the signs that say if something is new, just so there's no problem noticing. Anyway, back to the Master and Commander thread. | |

Maybe tomorrow. I'm in the big computer lab with twenty people sitting behind me, and I don't want to fill the screen with gigantic obsessant pictures.

| Ladies and gentlemen... I give you... A reflection, definition, and exhibition....of good sleeves. Please observe: (I have devoted a lot of thought to this, so take your time, but don't take it too seriously) Good sleeves are: 1. Off white or cream. (occasionally color, ie, dark gray, are good, but not good) 2. Made of cotton. 3. Textured and wrinkled. 4. Stitched below the shoulder, and then go slack, and then are tapered in again at the wrist. Good sleeves are also: 1. Best rolled up. 2. Or slightly wet, but not soaked. 3. Or dusty. 4. Or better, flecked with blood. Good sleeves are NOT: 1. Made of silk (looks like an opera singer) 2. Perfectly white 3. Trimmed with another material of any time, specifically lace, unless it is a specifically period piece, ie the French Revolution. Examples of good sleeves: 1. Pirates of the Caribbean: a.Jack (almost always ) b. Will (except when too silky) (We have yet to see Commodore Norrington without a coat, but I have hope for the sequel ) 2. North and South: a. Mr. Thornton b. Mr. Hale (Not every good-sleeve wearer is good looking. See: Jack Sparrow) 3. Master and Commander: a. Jack (except when weirdly opera-singer-silky) b. Stephen (see also: good coat, glasses, hair color, skin tone, nose, eyes, height, voice, aaaaaaaand I could go on and on.. ) c. Blakeney (once on the Galapagos) d. Killick (echo the not good-looking thing) e. All minor characters and able seamen, but NOT the officers. Also: 1. Women can wear cool sleeves but not nearly to the same effect. 2. The modern take on these sleeves (which are, unfortunately, out of date) are the white, button down shirts with cuffs. Like what people wear to weddings. Or even button-down shirts in general, ie. office attire, is good, as long as the sleeves are not too tight. 3. Sleeves are not really that important, it's just a thing of mine. Grace, have I mispelled anything or left anything out? | |

Except for a few dashes, no. When does Will wear silky sleeves?

When does Will wear silky sleeves? A lot of the time. When they're fighting in the blacksmith's shop, for example, they seem a little too liquidy.

I,am sure you will only see these kind of sleeves in movies and plays. Its a pretty good bet you will never see sleeves like this in real life. Although t agree with you on pretty much all of what you said.

Thin cotton tends to be somewhat see-through in sunlight, Hannah. Are cardboard sleeves a little too liquidy for you?

| Perhaps they were just too clean. Will's sleeves don't seem to have enough stitching to me, but then, I may be remembering incorrectly.
And har har. | |

| The white long sleeve shirts we had to wear at the wedding were so hard. It seemed as though if you bent your wrist the wrong way, the evil sleeves would cut your hand clean off.
But the wedding was vary fun in the end.
