"Oh, Christmas Tree..."

Well we got our christmas tree up today. We (I) cut it down yesterday but we just got it in and we've got lights on it and stuff.

Anyone else have their tree up yet?

We'rr going to wait till Zack and Beth get here on Christmas eve, eve, eve.

Put ours up last week. Looks pretty good.

Our's is a little thin but it's real so I'm okay with it.

Ours is so fake it's not even funny, but it's tradition. We have to decide which kid gets it in the will.

We are always so late about the whole Christmas tree thing. Two of three years ago, we didn't get it one until Christmas eve night.

Fake scent!!!??? So if somone has a fake tree, but puts the scent on the tree?, why doesn't that person just get a real one?

It was a joke but some people do that...and they don't waqnt the "mess" of the real tree.

Right...I didn't think about that.

Allll right, everyone. No, we've never put "fake scent" on a Christmas tree. We own a fake tree, we own pine oil, but we've never put them together. At least, I don't remember doing it.

But it's true: we don't want the mess, and we're pretty sissy about it, but mostly we keep the old tree because it's tradition to assemble it.

Btw, I heard a pretty dramatic story from Jessica about finding that skinny tree, jondoe.

I'ev never heard the words. assemble and tree, in the same sentence before.

Well, Jessica found a tree that she thought was good and after it got dark she was like "Let's go cut that tree down now". But of course when she says "Let's" she means me since I was the one cutting down the tree with a dull old handsaw.

So I cut the 25ft. tree down and we look at the top (which is what we were obviously going to use) and it's really ugly, thin and stupid looking.

So we go to a different tree that I thought we should have cut down in the first place, cut it down and it may be somewhat thin but it's a heck of a lot better than the one that Jessica found.


I'm not sure it was so dramatic, more like long and boring.

Isn't the whole Christmas tree traditiion stupid? Now i like to do it every year too. So dont get me wrong, i love all the light and everything. But its a weird tradition.

Yeah, it's weird.

But like you I too enjoy hte lights and everything.

Some of our lights play christmas songs but it sounds like a cell-phone.
