A movie this good deserves its own thread!


August Rush was the most amazing movie I have seen in years! Its was beautiful, well written, VERY pleasing to the ears! The boy plays a better role than any other little boy in any movie. I am so getting this movie. If anyone is going to watch it again, call me over, I want to watch it again!

I had the chance to watch it but I choose not to.

If you watched it all you would do is criticize it. But you do like movies like Pursuit of Happiness. ??? Perhaps.......

Well, if this is like Pursuit of happiness then I might like it....

Its not like it, but is sort of the same genre of movie. Aside from the musical difference.

I knew this was coming...

Well, I liked the music of the movie. I was hoping to hear piano though. And I had never seen Robin Williams play a villain, so that was interesting.

However, I hate to say it, but I didn't like Evan/August; I thought he was a little too nicey-nice/perfect/robotic. I mean, I don't think even Mozart played perfectly the very first time he picked up an instrument. I don't think he was a great actor. I don't know... And the Mom seemed 2-D as well.

I liked his dad a better just because he had more personality; the scene where he and Evan are playing guitar together was good.

And sorry, I just can't like the whole girl getting pregnant with some guy she met once thing.

I'm... assuming we're talking about August Rush here.

I didn't like him either...his face annoys me.

I agree with most of what you said. As actors....the mother, father, and son trio did pretty good for being nobodies. The kid has more experience then the other two.

I still love the movie.
